Hi, I really love bread – is it true that I have to cut out gluten in order to get well? I don't have any bad symptoms with it. I'd be interested to know anyone else's experiences with cutting out gluten. Did you feel better? Thanks, Jackie

According to just about every nutritionist we do!…Have you read Dr. Sarah Myhill's website? Also Gudrun Johnson? Dr. Atkins? Apparently the food we love and crave could be very unhelpful!
Try researching coconut oil..if it works, which it appears to for many AIDS, candida and Alzhiemers patients then you may be able to reintroduce bread sooner than you think!

ps. I have been eating the coconut products for about 2 and a half weeks..felt worse to begin with but think that I may have been overdosing in my rush to be well..so start with just a teaspoon!

Gluten can be a problem to digest even for healthy people – particularly in the form of processed flour. If you have CFS/ME you cannot go wrong by cutting out gluten - you will invariably benefit from it to a varying degree. You may not feel any improvement for six months or more so don't give up. But my strong advice to anyone with CFS/ME is to cut out gluten completely.
You don't need to cut out all foods that you are intolerant too, because food intolerances are generally secondary to a gluten problem and will resolve themselves after you have been off gluten for some time. An exception is a lactose intolerance.

I recommend a book called “Dangerous Grains” by Dr James Braly. If you are in any doubt about gluten – read this book.

hi , im a little confused , is gluten in rice? i have found some rice pasta and like rice , but have cut down portions so that it is not 2 thirds of my diet yet , but wonder should i cut rice completely?

Hi Sparky, Gluten is in wheat, rye and barley – so rice is fine. I'm not sure what you mean about two thirds of your diet but you should keep carbohydrate levels reasonably low. A small amount of rice with a meal of lots of protein and vegetables is ideal.

thanks , its what i have been trying to do , does that mean same for potatoes? or as it is a root vegetable are we ok to eat them as much as we want ?
and am i right in saying gluten is not a problem with eggs? does it depend on what the chickens are fed ?
